I'M TAKING A DAY OF LEAVE AND REARRANGED MY STORE HOURS FOR NEXT TUESDAY SO A SERVICEPERSON CAN COME LOOK AT THE PIECE OF SHIT IN MY KITCHEN AND IT HAD DAMN WELL BETTER NOT COST ME AN ARM AND A LEG TO FIX IT!
Thank you. We now return you to your regularly scheduled LJ.

Date: 2008-03-12 10:48 am (UTC)The stupid thing is still running and making noise, but it's not keeping anything cold or frozen. It was good yesterday morning - got home from the store last night and it wasn't. W. T. F?!?!

Date: 2008-03-12 02:32 pm (UTC)I do, however, know better than to invoke the gawds by asking something stupid like "what else can go wrong", because believe-you-me, there's still plenty of stuff left.
AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHH.

Date: 2008-03-12 02:59 pm (UTC)Are you getting tax money back and/or that "tax break" check that I keep hearing about? If so, maybe that can make up for any costs a bit unless you've already planned on using that for other stuff.

Date: 2008-03-12 03:29 pm (UTC)I'm getting a bit more back from the Fed return, but combined with the state return, it's only about a quarter of what I got back last year. I was planning to use it for my trip. Now it looks like next week, when my one-year IRA certificate matures, I'll be applying a chunk of that money to the trip and then when the highly-anticipated rebate check arrives, that will go back into the IRA account.
If I didn't have my trip to look forward to, I'd seriously be hating my life right now...

Date: 2008-03-12 03:41 pm (UTC)I owe the VA hospital money for meds so anything I get back goes to them anyways and I never see the money. I was supposed to get over $300 "back" but they snuck that nasty 10% early withdrawal fee in for 401K so I had to send the IRS a $115 check. Grrr...
Aye just focus on that as much as you can. You are going to have a great time. :-)

Date: 2008-03-12 04:11 pm (UTC)hehe Don't you worry, the people I met there were wonderful, very friendly and generous. I think you are going alone? If so, you won't have to worry about anyone else ruining your time which is what happened to JimmyD's sister when she vacationed with a friend about 6 months ago. They haven't spoken since!

Date: 2008-03-12 04:53 pm (UTC)Yeah it was her first vacation in many many years and their friend pulled her slightly-psycho act and made her miserable the entire time. I felt really bad for her.
