I managed to get the base of the birdbath out of the car, into the backyard, and into the spot I wanted to put it in, ALL BY MYSELF. And without throwing my back out, too! It had been set on a tarp in the back of my car, so all I did was drag the tarp out of the car and into my garden cart, which had a bag of mulch in it for cushioning. The hardest part was wheeling the cart into the backyard. So here it is, all set up and ready for customers:

And another view...

That's cool! And a great job of doing all of that by yourself too!

I can't wait to have a backyard so I can be creative with it. :)

Isn't it stunning? As soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted it. It just took me a couple of weeks to convince myself.

The logistics of the maneuver weren't too tough to hash out. I knew I HAD to get the thing out of the car, because I need to buy some gravel for my planned walkway and there wouldn't have been enough room for the bags of gravel and the rock base. It occured to me that dragging would be easier than trying to lift, even with another person. Using the tarp and the cart with the mulch in it worked out perfectly! WOO-HOO!

Thank you! I got it at Roxbury on Lafayette Street - it was even 10% off the regular price! Gotta love it!

I knew my 4QF family would like it!

Nope, definitely no regrets. I'd budgeted a set amount for landscaping this spring, and I still have plenty of $$$ left to play with. Which is good, because I still need to get gravel and sand for my walkway.

:)

Isn't it the coolest? I'd love to get one for my campsite, but I can't fit that into the budget this year...

HA! Okay, normally I never point out spelling mistakes my friends make, but "grovey" is just too perfect for the situation. Especially since the birdbath is located next to the GROVE of dogwood trees I've planted.

One would think you'd done it intentionally.

*hugs*
